About MDB Tuition Ltd & Tackling Tables
MDB Tuition Ltd (Company Number 09054197) is based in Norfolk UK and offers private tuition to small groups of Primary & Secondary school students. Tackling Tables was developed to help students achieve instant recall of tables facts and the inverse and then to apply that knowledge. It is a carefully structured approach based on the age - related expectations of the National Curriculum for England 2014.

Lawful basis on which personal information is processed

  • Contract
    In order to provide the contractual level of service and technical support
  • Legitimate Interest
    To support schools/tutors/home users in their commitment to helping students achieve greater levels of competence and confidence

What personal information is collected/processed as part of the subscription/free trial agreement?

  • Schools
    • a. School name/address/email (for account/billing purposes)
    • b. Lead teacher name and email address (for service support and notification purposes)
    • c. Teachers’ names ( in order that they can be assigned to a class)
    • d. Pupil’s names/year groups/classes (for individual log in and basic statistical reporting)
    • e. Optional detail relating to gender/special educational need and disability/ pupil premium (for more in-depth impact reporting)
  • App Users
    • a. Name/address/email (for account/billing/contact purposes)

Agreement and consent
It is assumed that by registering (whether on a trial or ongoing basis) and providing the requested personal information, the school consent to the processing of data as outlined in this notice and has taken responsibility to seek and confirm all necessary parental consent for all pupils.
Children (under the age of 18 years) cannot register to use the Site themselves. A teacher, parent or guardian must register for them (either as part of a school subscription or app subscription).

Data Sharing & Security
We will keep personal information confidential and will not sell or knowingly divulge Users’ information to advertisers or third parties. We have a legally binding GDPR compliance agreement in place with Empresa Ltd (Company Number 3976138) who are responsible for site maintenance, site delivery and server security. All servers are located in the UK.
If any personal data is lost destroyed or becomes damaged, corrupted or unusable we will notify the user without undue delay.
We use Paypal to process credit card payments made to us. Transactions are encrypted using SSL technology. We do not retain any credit card numbers.

Data Deletion & Retention
We only retain personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the lawful basis on which it was collected. If retention becomes unnecessary then that data will be immediately deleted.
Any request from users for deletion of data with immediate effect will be actioned. Where data has been deleted from a school system without any notification to us, we will hold that data for a period of 6 weeks just in case it was mistakenly deleted and needs to be retrieved. Once that period has expired data will be permanently deleted.
At the end of the 3-week whole school free trial period/3-day app free trial period, if users decide not to sign up for a subscription all personal data will be deleted.

Data Protection Rights

    • b. Correct, update or request deletion of their personal information
    • c. Request the personal information we hold about you in a structure, standard machine-readable format

When we update our Privacy Notice, we will take appropriate measures to inform you, consistent with the significance of the changes we make. We will obtain your consent to any material Privacy Notice changes if and where this is required by applicable data protection laws. Users will be deemed to have consented to any such changes by their continued use of the Site following any changes being made.
