Purpose
MDB Tuition Ltd will ensure that all personal information is lawfully processed and held in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as it applies in the UK, tailored by the Data Protection Act 2018. Personal information is deemed to be any information that identifies a living individual.

About MDB Tuition Ltd & Tackling Tables
MDB Tuition Ltd (Company Number 09054197) is based in Norfolk UK and offers private tuition to small groups of Primary & Secondary school students. Tackling Tables Online has been developed to help students achieve instant recall of tables facts and the inverse and then to apply that knowledge. It is a carefully structured approach based on the age - related expectations of the National Curriculum for England 2014.

Lawful basis on which personal information is processed

  • We are following instructions from someone else regarding the processing of personal data.
  • We are told what personal data to collect
  • We do not decide to collect personal data from individuals.
  • We do not decide what personal data should be collected from individuals.
  • We do not decide what purpose or purposes the data will be used for.
  • We do not decide whether to disclose the data, or to whom.

    To support schools/tutors/home users in their commitment to helping students achieve greater levels of competence and confidence

Summary of data collected and processed

    • a. School name/address/email (for account/billing purposes)
    • b. Lead teacher name and email address (for service support and notification purposes)
    • c. Teachers’ names ( in order that they can be assigned to a class)
    • d. Pupil’s names/year groups/classes (for individual log in and basic statistical reporting)
    • e. Optional detail relating to gender/special educational need and disability/ pupil premium (for more in-depth impact reporting)
  • App Users
    • a. Name/address/email (for account/billing/contact purposes)

Children and Privacy
Children aged 13 or under cannot register on our site. Parents/guardians, tutors or teachers create accounts from their own subscription/trial accounts.

Data Sharing & Security
We will keep personal information securely and will not sell or knowingly divulge users’ information to advertisers or third parties. We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the personal information that we collect and process. The data that we collect is stored on secure servers in Norwich by Empresa Ltd (Company Number 3976138).

If any personal data is lost destroyed or becomes damaged, corrupted or unusable we will notify the Controller without undue delay.

We use Paypal to process credit card payments made to us. Transactions are encrypted using SSL technology. We do not retain any credit card numbers.

Data Deletion & Retention
We only retain personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the contractual basis on which it was collected.

Any request from users for deletion of data with immediate effect will be actioned. Where data has been deleted without any notification to us, we will hold that data for a period of 6 weeks just in case it was mistakenly deleted and needs to be retrieved. Once that period has expired data will be permanently deleted.

At the end of the 4-week whole school free trial period/3-day app free trial period, if users decide not to sign up for a subscription all personal data will be deleted.

Data Protection Rights

Users can at any time:

  • a. Withdraw or amend their consent
  • b. Correct, update or request deletion of their personal information
  • c. Request the personal information we hold about you in a structure, standard machine-readable format
